Security
How we protect your sales, tax records and guest data.
Effective 20 October 2026 · Last updated 20 October 2026
1. Our approach
Restaurants trust Tablyvio with their sales, tax records and guest details. We protect that data with secure defaults, limited access and clear controls for owners.
2. Access control in the app
- Every staff member signs in with a personal 4-digit PIN, and the till locks in one tap.
- Roles keep menu, stock, reports and settings to managers and owners.
- Voids of sent items, discounts above 10% and refunds need a manager or owner PIN.
- Every sale, void and refund records which staff member did it.
3. Tax record integrity
- Invoice numbers are sequential and are never reused.
- Paid invoices cannot be edited. Corrections are made with numbered credit notes.
- Z reports close the day with the invoice range, totals and VAT.
4. Where data is stored
In the browser and installed versions, data is stored on the restaurant's own device and does not leave it unless the owner exports a backup. Our website and app are served over encrypted HTTPS connections. When Tablyvio Cloud launches, data will be encrypted in transit and at rest and hosted in UAE data centres where available.
5. Backups
Owners and managers can save a full backup file at any time and restore it on another device. We recommend a backup at the end of every trading day, kept somewhere secure such as company email or cloud storage.
6. Our team and providers
Only staff who need access to support you can access customer information, under confidentiality obligations. We choose service providers that meet recognised security standards.
7. Incidents
If we become aware of a security incident affecting customer data, we will act quickly to contain it, inform affected customers without undue delay, and notify authorities where UAE law requires.
8. Report a vulnerability
If you believe you have found a security weakness in Tablyvio, please email [support email] with the details. Please give us reasonable time to fix it before sharing it publicly. We will not take action against anyone who reports an issue in good faith.
9. Keeping your restaurant safe
- Give each staff member their own PIN and remove leavers straight away.
- Lock the till when you step away.
- Keep devices updated and protected with a device password.
- Back up every day.
